Morning Walk in Lalbagh

It feels very nice to be getting up early in the morning and go out for a walk in the cool weather before the vehicles blurt out loads of carbon into the atmosphere. Lalbagh has been a favorite place for almost all Bangaloreans who come from different corners of the city to this park.

Girish, Santhosh and I met the last Sunday in Lalbagh to burn our calories and keep ourselves fit. These photos were taken just after the sunrise at about 6:45 AM. The magical light of the early morning casts a special effect and makes every object a very good subject to be photographed.

We started our walk from the West Gate going in front of the lake towards the glass house. Although the purpose of meeting there was to do a brisk walk, we were walking at a snail's pace talking about the right age to get married and the experiences of the people we know. Just in front of the lake, a couple of monkeys were feasting on carrots and tomatoes given by a walker. The light falling on only on side of the face of this monkey was a very nice sight.

The lotus pond did not have more than 5 lotuses/water lillies. The soft light on the leaves of this flower was magnificent. During the post processing, I have introduced a negative lens vignetting to produce a spotlight effect. All photos shot using the Nikon D80, 18-135 Lens.
